Pain and stiffness in the joints as we get older is a common occurrence and is due to the stresses and strains of everyday living as the joints literally begin to wear out.

Most long term damage occurs when the lubricating or synovial fluid within the joints which should when healthy be almost a jelly like consistency becomes thin and watery, and as it thins, so the joint cartilage which covers the ends of the bones becomes worn and rubbed.

We produce a certain amount of glucosamine within our bodies. However, as we grow older, we lose the capacity to make enough glucosamine and with this, stop producing the nutrients needed to stimulate the production of synovial fluid - the fluid that lubricates the cartilage and keeps joints healthy.

And without enough glucosamine, the cartilage in weight bearing joints such as the hips, knees and hands begin to deteriorate, harden and form bone spurs, deformed joints and severely limits joint movement.

Glucosamine works best when taken in conjunction with chondroitin, a substance that attracts more fluid into the spaces around the joints to provide lubrication, shock absorption and cushioning of the joints. Glucosamine and chondroitin are absorbed into the body and taken into the blood and joints where the glucosamine stimulates the formation of normal joint cartilage and provides an anti inflammatory effect whilst the chondroitin helps attract fluid into cartilage and lubricate the joints.

Vital for healthy cartilage metabolism, supplementing with Glucosamine and Chondriotin has been shown from numerous studies to be effective not only to rehabilitate cartilage and renew synovial fluid but for treating osteoarthritis pain, and repairing joints that have been damaged by osteoarthritis.

Directions of Use :

2-3 tablets twice daily. To be taken with food.
