Hydroxyzine

Hydroxyzine is used to treat itching due to hives, eczema, and allergic reactions, as well as to treat anxiety and tension. It is in a class of drugs known as antihistamines.

Alcohol
Alcohol’s effects on human functioning may increase when it is consumed at the same time as hydroxyzine. Therefore, alcohol consumption should be avoided while taking hydroxyzine.¹
