The berry of sea buckthorn has for hundreds of years been valued and used as a source of nutrients. The oil of the sea buckthorn berry contains fatty acids of virtually all important series, omega 3, 6, 7 and 9 and is exceptionally rich in palmitoleic acid (omega 7), rarely found in the plant kingdom. The oil is also rich in natural antioxidants; tocopherols, tocotrienols, carotenoids and plant sterols.

Antioxidants inhibit harmful oxidation of fatty acids in cell membranes. Plant sterols may be of benefit to cholesterol metabolism. Working synergistically, the nutrients in sea buckthorn oil support general wellbeing and may help maintain the health and integrity of cell membranes, especially in mucous membranes and skin.

Directions:

Two capsules twice a day with food and drink during the first two months, one capsule twice a day thereafter.

Warning: Do not exceed recomended amount.

Pregnant and lactating women and those on medication should seek professional advise prior to taking supplements.

Nutritional supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet.

Each capsule contains: Energy 22.0kJ/5.3kcal, Protein 0mg, Carbohydrates 188mg, Fat 501mg (of which saturates 120mg, monounsaturates 205mg (of which palmitoleic acid (n-7) 120mg, Cis-vaccenic acid (n-7) 25mg, oleic acid (n-9) 60mg), polyunsaturates 155mg (of which linoleic acid (n-6) 90mg, alpha-linolenic acid (n-3) 65mg)).

Ingredients:

Sea buckthorn oil (from seeds and soft parts, manufactured by supercritical CO2 extraction) 72%, capsule shell (modified maize starch E1440, glycerol E422, gelling agent: carrageenan E407, acidity regulator: disocium phosphate E339, colours: iron oxide E172, titanium dioxide E171).

Suitable for vegetarians.
