Herb Lore's Cold & Flu Tincture contains Catnip, Boneset, Yarrow, Elder Flower, Hyssop and Peppermint. This combination of herbs has traditionally been used to help combat cold and/or flu symptoms, including fever. It may also shorten illness duration. It will not dry up a runny nose, however, but in my opinion, that's not something you'd want to do anyway. I know it's messy and unpleasant, but the material that's pouring out of the nose is all of the bacteria and viral material that's been killed off by the fever and/or the body's immune system while combating the illness. In my opinion it's better to allow that stuff out, to leave the body, rather than keeping it trapped within. (Better out than in, as Shrek always says!) This product is great for use in combination with Echinacea. This product is not for use during pregnancy.
