Breath Bars are designed to help keep your dogs breath and fecal quality fresh with a delicious chewy bar. Breath Bars combine specific ingredients, such as spirulina and cinnamon powder, that help reduce plaque and bacteria that leads to bad breath. This formula includes The Champex™ brand Champignon mushroom, which has been extensively studied for its ability to suppress odor-causing chemicals in the intestines, stopping bad breath at the source. Pumice is included as a natural abrasive to polish teeth, and reduce plaque and bacteria that can lead to doggy breath.

  • Spirulina and parsley are great sources of the deodorising and cleansing Chlorophyll.
  • Champignon Mushroom Extract (ChampexTM brand) has been extensively studied for its ability to reduce odors and improve intestinal conditions, thereby stopping foul breath at the source. ChampexTM suppresses the generation of toxic chemicals.
  • Pumice is an all-natural abrasive with a gritty texture ideal for polishing surfaces. The outer layer of the teeth (enamel) is the hardest substance in the body. When the surface becomes pitted or damaged, plaque and bacteria have places to hide and cling to. Pumice polishes the teeth, cleansing the groove and smoothing the surface.
  • Cinnamon Powder supports a healthy bacterial balance in the mouth.

There are two major causes of mouth odors: decaying debris between teeth, on the mucous membrane or in the esophagus; and foul-smelling compounds absorbed from the intestinal tract into the blood, then breathed out from the lungs as foul breath. Foul mouth odors are a mixture of mouth debris and compounds in the GI tract expelled through the lungs.

More than 100 trillion intestinal bacteria create odorous chem- icals by decomposing the proteins and fats in ingested foods. The major putrefying bacteria Welch bacillus and Escerichia coli create rotten-smelling intestinal chemicals, which are the origin of fecal odors.
