What is Swanson Certified Organic Turmeric Tea?

The Turmeric plant is grown in Indonesia, India and China and also found in other tropical regions. Its root like stem is dried and then ground into the familiar power we have come accustom to in flavouring and colouring curries, pickles and meat products. Turmeric contains curcumin, the key active component and an orange colour volatile oil. Turmeric has also had a long history of use by Indian and Chinese herbalists in having a positive effect on some health conditions.

Turmeric has a similar antioxidant affect to vitamins C and E, where it can provide powerful protection against free radical damage to cells. It also helps to reduce inflammation and support healthy digestion.

Taking Turmeric internally may help to speed up the release of is health qualities to the cells and tissues faster. Swanson, a US manufacturer and supplier of dietary and herbal supplements which have been rigorously tested for purity and potency, brings you the benefits of turmeric into a convenient, tasty and refreshing organic tea.
